▲ 가락시장 채소2동 신재생에너지 도입.

[세계뉴스 차성민 기자] 서울시농수산식품공사(사장 문영표, 이하 ‘공사’)는 가락시장 현대화사업 도매권역 1공구(채소2동)에 에너지사용량의 27%를 신재생에너지를 도입함으로써 친환경 시장 조성에 구축에 앞장서고 있다.

채소2동 에너지사용량의 27% 중 12%인 1,336kw는 태양광발전설비를 적용하였으며, 나머지 15%인 3,773kw는 지열발전설비를 도입했다.

태양광발전설비의 경우에는 아파트 약 535가구 사용량과 비슷한 수준이며, 지열발전설비는 1일 동안 약 1천 톤의 물을 얼음으로 만들 수 있는 열량이다.

임창수 건설안전본부장은 “지속가능한 비즈니스 모델을 구축하고 탄소 중립을 위한 노력의 일환으로 공사가 앞장서서 신재생에너지를 도입하는 것이 중요하다.”라고 밝혔다.
