[세계뉴스] 나승욱 기자 = 성동구도시관리공단(이사장 김종수)이 지난 24일 ‘봄맞이 청계천 대청소’로 깨끗한 성동구 만들기에 나서며 청계천 수변을 중심으로 약 3km에 이르는 산책로와 도로변에서 정화활동을 펼쳤다. 

올해로 7회를 맞은 이번 행사에 참여한 임직원 26명은 시설관리공단 사거리부터 사근 삼거리까지 왕복으로 담배꽁초, 병, 비닐 등 각종 생활쓰레기를 400리터 가량 수거하였다.

김종수 이사장은 “성동구민의 중요한 여가 및 체육공간인 청계천을 깨끗이 보존하는 것 또한 우리 공단의 의무라고 생각한다”며 “휴일까지 반납해가며 자발적으로 참여해준 직원들 덕분에 지역주민에게 쾌적한 환경을 제공할 수 있게되어 기쁘다”고 말했다.

한편 사회적 책임 실현을 위한 나눔경영에 주력하고 있는 공단은 임직원 재능기부, 지역아동센터 지원 등 소외된 이웃을 위한 다양한 사회공헌활동을 펼쳐 나눔문화 확산에 앞장서고 있다.
